Donald Joel Bateman, 85, a resident of Monroe since 1979, handed away on November 19, 2020, at Promedica Monroe Hospital of the COVID-19 virus.
Don was born on Might 2, 1935, in Oklahoma Metropolis, Oklahoma to Alvin Bateman and Bertha (Hopewell) Bateman. He graduated from the Oklahoma Navy Academy in Claremore, Oklahoma and he was a graduate of Oklahoma State College with a Bachelor’s Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
On September 1, 1956, he and his spouse, Marilyn Herbord have been married in Safety, Kansas. They shared their life collectively for the final 64 years, elevating three youngsters, 5 grandchildren and 4 nice grandchildren.

He’s additionally survived by his sister, Eva McKinley of Oklahoma Metropolis and lots of nieces and nephews. Along with his dad and mom, Don was preceded in demise by his brother Alvin Bateman.
