Car strikes tractor driver in St. Joseph County | Information


The driving force of the truck rear ended the tractor and the person from Bronson was thrown off and injured.

PARK TOWNSHIP, MI (WKZO AM/FM) — A Bronson man is injured after he was thrown from a tractor throughout a crash in St. Joseph County.

It occurred round 11:30 a.m. Saturday on North Centreville Street close to Featherstone Street in Sherman Township, north of Sturgis.

Deputies say the 55-year-old man was driving a 1947 Ford 9N tractor on North Centerville when a 2005 GMC Canyon, pushed by a 53-year-old Sturgis man, rear ended the tractor.

The person on the tractor was thrown off and unresponsive when first responders arrived.

He was transported to the Kirsch Municipal Airport after which airlifted to Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo for remedy.

The driving force of the pickup truck was not injured. The reason for the crash continues to be underneath investigation. Authorities don’t consider velocity or alcohol have been elements on the time.
