PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland’s Damian Lillard says he separated his ribs in Recreation 2 of the Western Convention finals in opposition to the Golden State Warriors.
Lillard confirmed the damage on Sunday, a day after the Path Blazers misplaced 110-99 in Recreation Three. Lillard was 5-of-18 from the ground and completed with 19 factors as Golden State took a Three-Zero sequence lead.
The damage was initially reported by The Athletic. Lillard stated the separation is on the left aspect, and he wore protecting padding in Recreation Three.
“I don’t suppose it’s one thing that’s affecting my recreation. It’s there however it’s not one thing that’s affecting something that I’m doing. Clearly you’re feeling it, however that’s it,” he stated.
Lillard was damage within the third quarter of Thursday’s Recreation 2 when Golden State’s Kevon Looney landed on prime of him in a scramble for the ball.
The Warriors would shut out the sequence with a victory Monday.
