South Hadley Excessive College college students give again to neighborhood on MLK Day

South Hadley (WWLP) – For the previous 10 years, Martin Luther King weekend means giving again to the neighborhood in South Hadley.

It was organized chaos at South Hadley Excessive College Monday as volunteers got here collectively to bag hundreds of kilos of meals to profit the Neighbors Serving to Neighbors Meals Pantry.


Empty grocery luggage have been dropped off at houses throughout city this previous weekend for residents to fill with non-perishable meals objects. These luggage have been then returned to the highschool on Monday, and sorted by a whole bunch of South Hadley Excessive College college students.

The luggage that have been collected have been from greater than 6,000 South Hadley residents.

Since college students had the time off from faculty for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, many couldn’t consider a greater option to give again.
