Paramedics salute Good Samaritans who saved hockey teammate in cardiac arrest

Ottawa paramedics are saluting the “superb work” by a bunch of hocker gamers who used CPR and a defibrillator Tuesday evening to resuscitate a teammate who’d suffered cardiac arrest.

Emergency responders have been known as to the RA Centre advanced at eight:22 p.m. for an unconscious man at a leisure league recreation.

“When the paramedics arrived, the person was aware and speaking,” stated paramedics spokesman Marc-Antoine Deschamps.

The teammates, a few of whom had first help coaching, had rapidly situated the defibrillator and “did all the fitting issues.”

The person, in his 50s, was taken to hospital for additional examination.
