Palatine aircraft touchdown: Small plane lands close to Quentin and Colfax

A small aircraft landed close to a freeway Thursday in northwest suburban Palatine.

Officers responded about 6 p.m. to the 500 block of North Quentin Highway for stories of a single-engine aircraft that landed within the roadway, Palatine police stated in an announcement.

The pilot, the plane’s sole passenger, spoke to the officers on the scene, police stated. No accidents had been reported.

Quentin Highway is closed between Colfax Avenue and Northwest Freeway, officers stated.
