The Kazerne Residence of Design is organising a group marketing campaign for the lately graduated design-talent, Baiba Soma.
For her commencement from the Design Academy, Soma made lovely new gadgets and memorable design objects from discarded items. These included electrical energy cables, fridge-doors, and washer elements. “My intention is to indicate the great thing about discarded merchandise by reworking them into new, useful objects,” explains Baiba.
A lamp and a tapestry from Soma’s “Expired Whites” collection are a part of Kazerne’s present Round Materialists exhibition. Each main and beginning design skills present how they cope with the contradictory theme of sustainable design. The exhibition is on till Tuesday, three March.
Donate undesirable items
Donations for Baiba’s works are welcome till the final day of the exhibition. They are often dropped at Kazerne, in Paradijslaan, Eindhoven. The present is open day by day from midday and entrance is free.
On the finish of the exhibition, from 17:30 to 19:00, there’ll a workshop. For €5, guests, beneath the supervision of the designer, can remodel the yield of the gathering marketing campaign. These might be remodeled into distinctive lamps, wallhangings and different design items. If you’re on this, please purchase tickets here.
