New Buffalo Metropolis Supervisor Dies


The town supervisor of New Buffalo has died, weeks after being hospitalized with coronavirus. A message posted to the town’s web site says David Richards “will probably be sorely missed as a result of he was an excellent metropolis chief, buddy, and coworker.” The town introduced in early December he was hospitalized with COVID-19 problems. On the time, he was considered one of 5 metropolis corridor workers to have the sickness. The town council this month appointed Police Chief Wealthy Killips performing metropolis supervisor. The town’s web site says Richards had served as metropolis supervisor since 2017, and he “introduced the neighborhood “into a robust monetary place which was not the case when he took workplace, and a model new downtown.”
