South Haven voters can study extra about 4 of the candidates for metropolis council in just a few weeks. A candidate discussion board will likely be held at Lake Michigan Faculty’s South Haven campus on Veterans Boulevard from 7 to eight p.m. on Tuesday, October 15. Two of the wards have contested races in November. In Ward three, incumbent Steve Schlack will face challenger Liji Hanny, and each will likely be on the discussion board being placed on by the South Haven American Affiliation of College Ladies. In Ward 2, present councilmember Clark Gruber can’t run because of time period limits. Former councilmember Jeff Arnold is operating for the seat in opposition to Nadine Newman, and they’ll even be on the discussion board. Not showing will likely be Mayor Scott Smith and Ward 1 council member Letitia Wilkins, as they’re each operating unopposed in subsequent month’s election.
