Federal Capital will get N32.4bn for water, highway tasks – Voice of Nigeria

The Federal Government Council has authorized N32.four billion for the completion of some tasks within the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.

The Minister of the FCT, Mohammed Bello disclosed this whereas briefing Journalists on the finish of the final cupboard assembly for the 12 months 2020, chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari.


Bello stated that out of the full quantity, N827 million was authorized for the acquisition of chemical compounds for the therapy of potable water to be used by residents of the FCT.

He stated: “Federal Government Council assembly authorized the award of contract for the procurement of discipline supplies and chemical compounds for water therapy on behalf of the Federal Capital Territory Water Board. There have been two provides, one is the availability for gaseous chlorine to be offered over a interval of 12 months at a complete value of N627,600.

“The second is for the availability of alum, which can also be an important materials used for the therapy of water within the sum of N200,000.”


Bello additional stated the sum of N31.6 billion was authorized as augmentation for the completion of roads with the Central Enterprise District of the FCT.

“Council additionally authorized the request for upward evaluate of the contract sum for the completion of roads B6, B12 and Circle Street, Central Space District, Abuja – Revised Estimated Complete Value No. 2, reviewed from the previous contract sum of N66,831,381,123.49 to further upward evaluate of N31,629,393,749.87.
