BC Ferries cancelled greater than a dozen sailings alongside all of its main routes Saturday morning due to excessive winds and ocean circumstances.
The late morning and early afternoon sailings from Tsawwassen, Horseshoe Bay, Swartz Bay, Duke Level and Departure Bay have all been affected.
“We don’t take the choice to cancel sailings calmly and we do apologize to our prospects for the inconvenience. We all know our prospects depend on our service to get the place they should be,” stated Chelsea Carlson, a spokesperson for BC Ferries.
It’s the second day in a row that travellers have been affected.
Greater than 50 sailings on 9 completely different routes have been cancelled Friday after high winds created treacherous circumstances on the water.
