Previously often known as the Lost Boys, Caroline Myrick, Quennton Thornbury, and Connor Dodson return for an additional go as Prude Boys with their newest 7-inch single. The Reunion/Daddy marks the trio’s follow-up to 2017’s double releases — each of which highlight the rock outfit’s penchant for cinematic duality, in addition to Myrick’s singular songbird rock warble. On one hand, you may have “The Outlaw,” a surf-rock Western that may match proper in with any variety of Tarantino movies, whereas “Talking to Myself” might rating a late ’90s makeover montage. This time round, they’re combining the 2 for what looks like a candy and somber rock pairing. Prude Boys shall be joined by Milk Bathtub and Phased Out, the most recent mission from Dina Bankole (Informal Sweetheart, Secret Twins, and Skinny Wrists).
Prude Boys wsg Phased Out, and Milk Bathtub will carry out at 9 p.m. on Friday, June 14, at UFO Manufacturing unit; 2110 Trumbull St., Detroit; facebook.com/ufofactorydetroit. Tickets are $10.
