Fireplace investigators inspected a Chula Vista playground hearth Saturday for indicators of arson, a metropolis police lieutenant confirmed.
First responders had been known as to Veterans Park on East Palomar Avenue about four:52 a.m. after residents within the space noticed the blaze, which burned the wood construction to the bottom.
