Belarusian chief Lukashenko says Germany’s Merkel referred to as him -Interfax


MINSK – Belarusian chief Alexander Lukashenko mentioned he had obtained a telephone name on Sunday from German Chancellor Angela Merkel amid protests and strikes that pose the largest problem to his 26-year rule, the Interfax information company reported on Monday.Lukashenko faces the specter of European Union sanctions after a crackdown on protests following what demonstrators say was his rigged re-election victory final week. He denies dropping, citing official outcomes that gave him simply over 80% of the vote.
