1 useless after police use “lethal power” in St. Helens


ST. HELENS, Ore. (AP) – Officers say police used lethal power on an individual after a reported taking pictures in St. Helens.

Police shut down U.S. 30 north of Portland, Oregon, between mileposts 35 and 36 round 5:30 a.m. Wednesday after responding to stories of a taking pictures at a St. Helens Chevron gasoline station.

Round 5:15 p.m., the town of St. Helens confirmed suspect was useless on the scene.

Metropolis workers didn’t say precisely how the person died.

Oregon State Police is main an investigation.
