16 Seabus sailings cancelled Sunday due to transit employee job motion


VANCOUVER – As transit employees proceed their ongoing job motion, extra Seabus sailings are being cancelled.

The next afternoon sailings are cancelled on Sunday:

  • 1:30 p.m. from Lonsdale Quay and 1:45 p.m. from Waterfront can be cancelled
  • three:30 p.m. from Lonsdale Quay and three:45 p.m. from Waterfront can be cancelled
  • four:45 p.m. from Lonsdale Quay and 5:00 p.m. from Waterfront can be cancelled

The cancellations will proceed into the night, with 10 sailings affected. This implies there can be sailings as soon as each 30 minutes between 6:45 p.m. and 9:15 p.m., as an alternative of sailings each 15 minutes.

After 9:15 p.m., common sailings each 15 minutes will run till the ultimate crusing.

Employee job motion began on Friday, and contains employees refusing extra time and never carrying uniforms.

Unifor, the union representing 5,00zero transit employees, is asking for a further $608 million in wages, advantages and enhancements to working circumstances over 10 years.
